Outriders Delayed Until April, Demo Coming in Late

Publisher Square Enix and developer People Can Fly today announced that sci-fi co-op shooter Outriders has been delayed until April. Originally slated to launch on February 2, the title has now been pushed back until April 1.

To soften the blow of Outriders’ delay, a free demo will be released on February 25, giving players the chance to play through “the first few hours of the game” using any of its four classes in either single player or co-op.

The progress you make in the demo can then be transferred to the full version of the game at launch, should you purchase it.

“[…] we have decided to move the release date of Outriders to April 1, 2021 (no joke!).” reads a tweet from the official Outriders account.

“We will spend this extra time fine tuning the game and focusing on delivering a fantastic play experience at launch.”

Outriders is headed to PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4. It will also arrive on Google Stadia later this year.
